in general the media outcry about “fake service dogs” has been less for the safety of disabled people and more for the vanity of abled people who want to act as an authority over disabled people
this is the exact attitude of abled people who
watch wheelchair users like hawks and take videos of them when they realise they can move their legs
heckle blind/VI people for using cellphones, being online, going places independently
freak out seeing a cane user leave their cane to, like, walk to a nearby restroom or grab something that requires two hands
abled people LOVE to be the disability police and they always do it under the guise of “helping” people who are “really” disabled, as if they know fucking anything about disability. then they take our paranoia about being under constant surveillance as an admission of guilt!
they should remake breaking bad but instead of making and dealing meth it’s a suburban white mom who makes soap and the same levels of violence, gore, and drama remain
